The Wizards are finding their home on the road.

Posted on December 26, 2013

Winning on the road in the NBA is not easy and that makes the Wizards current run worth noting. The Wizards did not have six road wins last season until March 20th. Three of the Wizards wins this season away from Verizon Center happened last week.

Life on the road

The Wizards last won three straight road games as part of  a six game winning streak to end the 2011/2012 season. In between the wins in Charlotte, Miami, and Cleveland, the Wizards sandwiched in two home games.

The Wizards last won three consecutive road games without playing home game in December of 2001. That's when the Wizards claimed road victories in Houston, Dallas, and Memphis from December 6-10 2001.

The last time the Wizards franchise won four straight road games without playing a home game was in February of 1973. That's when the Baltimore Bullets secured road wins over Buffalo (against the Braves), Portland,Seattle and Golden State from February 9-15 1973.

The Wizards will go for their fourth road win in a row without  a home game tomorrow in Minnesota against the Timberwolves.

Coverage of the Wizards and Timberwolves begins at 7:45 on the Washington Wizards radio Network.
