Another thrill ride for the Wizards against the BucksPosted on March 09, 2014
The Wizards were outplayed and outscored in the second half, but a strong start led to a successful finish in a 114-107 win over the Bucks. The Wizards have now won five straight games on the road.
Wild night in Milwaukee
“Those games, I have been around long enough to see those games a lot. We were lucky enough to hang on and pull it out. Give Milwaukee credit, they didn’t give in. We have to learn that a game is never over in the NBA. We came out in the third quarter and played like we were going to run the clock out and go home. We played the exact opposite as we did the first half. We have learn and I told the guys: ‘you’ve got to learn.’ This should have been a game I rested some guys some minutes and that is important down the stretch. If you build a 28-point lead in the second quarter and you come out and not even play. We took shortcuts defensively and we just stopped playing.”
In the first half, the Wizards were efficient on offense and controlled the boards. The 75 points scored by the Wizards was a season-high for the first half and was done with only two players in double figures scoring.
